The internet contains billions of pages, but most of us enter a website through its homepage, search box, or a link from somewhere else. There is another fascinating way to explore the web: the sitemap.
A sitemap can reveal how a website organizes its pages, articles, categories, archives, resources, videos, images, news, and other content. Some websites provide a human-readable HTML site map, while others publish XML sitemap files or sitemap indexes primarily designed for search engines.

Important: Sitemap structures can change. Some large websites also restrict direct access to machine-readable sitemap files. When a public sitemap is unavailable, the site's main navigation, archive, index, or robots.txt file may provide another way to discover its content structure.

Step 4: Pick a category you have never explored before.
Step 5: Follow interesting links and allow one subject to lead naturally to another.
Try These Common Sitemap Locations
Many websites use common sitemap addresses such as:

However, never assume that one of these addresses must exist. Websites can organize their sitemaps differently, restrict crawler access or provide navigation through another type of index.
