10 Amazing Real Robots You Can Watch in Action — 2025–2026

Humanoid robots are moving rapidly from science-fiction concepts into the physical world. In 2025 and 2026, robotics companies demonstrated real machines walking, handling objects, folding laundry, working in warehouses, performing household chores, changing their own batteries, and even completing complex kitchen tasks.

The videos below feature real physical robots rather than AI-generated video. However, an important distinction should be made: not every robot demonstration is fully autonomous. Some robots operate independently, while others may use teleoperation, human supervision, motion capture, or specially prepared environments.

1. Figure — Helix 02 Takes On the Dishwasher

Figure's humanoid robotics platform demonstrated one of the most impressive household tasks yet: working through a complete dishwasher routine in a real kitchen. Figure says its Helix 02 system performed a long sequence involving walking, grasping, stacking, opening and closing the dishwasher, and manipulating objects without human intervention during the task.

2. Figure 02 — Folding Laundry

Laundry is surprisingly difficult for robots because clothes constantly change shape. Figure 02 demonstrates manipulation of soft fabric, requiring visual perception, coordination, and precise control of both hands. Tasks like this are important steps toward genuinely useful household robots.

3. 1X NEO Gamma — A Robot Designed for the Home

NEO Gamma was created specifically with household environments in mind. Unlike many industrial humanoids, its softer exterior and quieter movement are intended to make it more suitable for living alongside people. The robot demonstrates household navigation and manipulation while 1X continues developing its autonomous capabilities.

4. 1X NEO — The Home Robot

NEO represents 1X's attempt to bring a general-purpose humanoid robot into ordinary homes. It is intended to help with tasks such as fetching objects, opening doors, tidying and other household chores.

There is an important detail: NEO does not perform every possible task autonomously. 1X explains that unfamiliar or complex tasks can involve its Expert Mode, in which a human operator remotely supervises the robot. That makes NEO particularly interesting because it shows both how far home robotics has advanced and how much development is still needed.

5. Boston Dynamics Atlas — Industrial Humanoid Robot

Boston Dynamics has spent decades developing some of the world's most advanced mobile robots. The latest electric Atlas is being developed for practical industrial work, including moving and manipulating objects in environments originally designed for people.

Its remarkable mobility is not simply for entertainment. Whole-body movement allows Atlas to position itself around equipment and objects in ways that conventional industrial robot arms cannot.

6. Agility Robotics Digit — Working Autonomously

Digit is one of the most important examples of humanoid-style robots moving into commercial work environments. Agility Robotics has demonstrated Digit moving containers and handling material in warehouse and logistics operations.

Rather than trying to imitate a human perfectly, Digit is designed around a practical question: what kind of robot body can move through environments built for humans while carrying out repetitive physical jobs?

7. Agility Robotics Digit at Automate 2025

This demonstration shows Digit performing material-handling operations involving containers and mobile equipment. These repetitive industrial tasks may become one of the first areas where humanoid robots achieve large-scale practical adoption.

8. UBTECH Walker S2 — A Robot That Can Change Its Own Battery

One of the biggest problems for working robots is battery life. UBTECH approached the problem in an unusual way with Walker S2: instead of requiring a person to replace its depleted battery, the humanoid can perform an autonomous battery swap.

This ability could eventually allow fleets of robots to continue operating for long periods with much less human assistance.

9. Unitree G1 — Humanoid Robot Boxing

Not every important robotics demonstration involves useful chores. Sometimes extreme movement provides a way to test balance, recovery and dynamic control.

Unitree's compact G1 humanoid has demonstrated remarkably agile movements, including punches, kicks and recovery from impacts. Some boxing demonstrations use human control or motion-control systems rather than representing fully autonomous combat, but the physical performance of the robot itself is real and demonstrates significant advances in balance and whole-body control.

10. Sanctuary AI Phoenix — Physical AI at Work

Sanctuary AI is concentrating heavily on robotic hands and object manipulation. Its Phoenix platform is designed as a general-purpose robot capable of learning different kinds of physical work instead of being permanently programmed for a single repetitive operation.

The following demonstration from 2025 shows Phoenix as part of Sanctuary AI's continuing development of Physical AI for real-world robotic tasks.

What Makes These Videos Important?

For years, humanoid robots were primarily research projects. What makes the 2025–2026 generation different is the growing emphasis on useful physical work.

Robots are beginning to manipulate unfamiliar objects, move around human environments, handle laundry, work with dishwashers, transport containers, recharge themselves and interact with people. Artificial intelligence is increasingly being connected directly to physical machines — a field often described as Physical AI or Embodied AI.

At the same time, robot videos should be watched carefully. A real robot does not automatically mean that every action is autonomous. Demonstrations may involve autonomous AI, predefined routines, remote operators, motion capture, human supervision or combinations of these methods.

The most interesting question is therefore not simply, “Is the robot real?”

It is:

How much of what we are watching can the robot understand, decide and perform by itself?

The Future of the Robot Home

A truly general household robot still has a long way to go. Human homes contain an enormous number of unpredictable objects and situations. A glass can break. Clothing changes shape. Furniture moves. Pets walk through the room. Food can spill. Doors may be partially open. Every home is different.

But the direction is becoming much clearer.

The household robot of the future may not simply vacuum the floor like today's robot vacuums. It could eventually walk through the house, collect dishes, load a dishwasher, fold clothing, bring objects to us, organize rooms, prepare simple food and help elderly or disabled people with everyday activities.

The remarkable part is that we no longer have to imagine all of this entirely through science fiction.

We can already watch the first generations of these machines doing parts of it today.
